Magic Milk Experiment

Make milk swirl with a little science experiment. This magic milk experiment is a great way to demonstrate how different liquids don’t always mix. Watch as the food dye makes kaleidoscope patterns instead of sinking into the milk. This experiment is simple and can be done with these pantry essentials:

Shallow bowl or dish

Milk

Assorted food coloring

Dish soap

Q-tips

Fill a shallow bowl or dish with about ½ cup of milk (it should come up about 1 inch in the bowl or dish). Drop food coloring all around in a variety of colors. Dip the Q-tip into dish soap and touch the food coloring. The food coloring will disperse into patterns- just like magic.
